Broadway Bicycle Co, Plaine and Son, and HRRT have started to host MTB rides every week. If any of you are feeling adventurous and want to ride with a group of people then join use each Tuesday night at 6:00pm at the Central Park Trails.
First: Thank you all so much for the kind votes in the Metrolands’ Readers Poll. I am pleased to announce, that while the Downtube took first (congratulations), our store, Broadway Bicycle Co, took second. Thanks again for your continued support.
Second: Please take time this weekend to head over to the ADK summer sports expo, at the Saratoga Springs City Center. Admission is free. The expo runs Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4. There will be tons of raffles, demos, and info. We will be there with FREE water bottles, 1/2 price Specialized cycling clothes, and gloves. We will also have a rack of $15 closeout winter clothing items. Hope to see you! Stop by and say hi!
Third: Our annual season kick off ride is April 1st. If you thought it was grand last year, this year will be even better! Tell your friends, neighbors, boss, coworkers, barista, and that cute person you’ve been meaning to talk to! This event is for everyone. All Paces, all bikes, heck do it on foot! Showing up is half the battle so just come out!
Two ride options:
32 miles loop, rolling hills, starts at 10:30 am
OR
16 mile out and back almost all on bike path, starts at 11:00 am
We start at the ShopRite Plaza in Niskayuna. We will be using the lower lot to the far right of the plaza past ShopRite towards the doctors offices.
All participants are required to wear helmets. There is no registration fee, but all riders MUST be HRRT members with signed waivers… It’s an insurance thing. You can join day of, online, or stop into Plaine and Son at anytime. Membership entitles you to store discounts, tons of rides, and more.
